Cox's Bazaar
is the world’s Longest Natural Sandy Sea Beach. In Cox’s bazaar
there is an unbroken 125 km sandy sea beach with a gentle slope.
It is located 150 km south of the industrial port Chittagong.
Cox,s Bazaar is also known by the name “Panowa”, the
literal translation of which means “yellow flower”. Its other old name was
“Palongkee”. The modern derives its name from Captain Hiram Cox (died
1799), an officer of British India. There are lots of Attractive place
here you can find in Cox’s Bazaar, but the main attraction is the sandy
beach.
The beach
has divided into three parts,
The
laboni beach (considered
the main beach) and it is also closet to the town, there are lots of small
shops selling souvenirs and beach accessories to the tourists.
The Second
beach is Himchori, it
is located about 18 km south of Cox’s Bazar along the sea beach, and it is
a nice place for the picnic, romance, travelling and film shooting. Here
you can find fountain and beach.
Enani is the third one, it is located
35 km south of Cox’s Bazaar, and the white sandy beach is located within
Ukhia Thana. The beach is famous for its golden sand and clean water
which is best for sea bathing, most of the tourist chooses this because it is
free from crowd and the water is too cold and pure.
